The dental labororatory we use for ceramic crown and bridgework is Dentogenics, owned and managed by Brian Walters. Brian casts and creates the crowns and bridges prepared in our practice and is an expert in his field who takes considerable pride in his work. He has had extensive experience in large and complex cases and has an ability to reproduce work of excellent colour and anatomical detail, very closely matching the look the patient desires.

For the best result, Brian needs to view your teeth between the hours of 9.30am and 1.30pm. This enables him to record the way the natural light transmits through and reflects from your teeth. He will take into account the adjacent teeth and your complexion, and will use this information to create a crown which best blends with your natural teeth.

Patients are asked to phone Dentogenics and make an appointment for a shade evaluation immediately after the crown impressions are complete. Porcelain fabrication is not possible until this has been done so a delay in the shade taking procedure usually means a crown cannot be delivered on time.

If coming from the North:

  • Upon exiting the tunnel/Cahill expressway, stay to the left and take the Woolloomooloo exit.
  • As you drive down the exit, stay in the middle lane, turn right at the first set of lights, passing under the tunnel and continue left into Sir John Young Crescent. Get into the left lane .
  • Turn left at the first set of lights, then turn left at the roundabout into Crown Street. Once on Crown Street you will need to find parking around Cathedral Street which is only one block up. There is metered car parking along Crown Street so make sure you have $1 or $2 coins.

Brian's office is on the 3rd floor and access is via an external spiral staircase. If you are not able to climb the 3 flights of stairs, phone him on arrival and he will meet you at the bottom to view your teeth there.

The laboratory we use for our removable dentures and implant supported acrylic bridgework is Biotechnics, owned and managed by Emmanuel Belivanis. Emmanuel has an extremely good eye for tooth position and style and is able to create very harmonising tooth arrangements. His ability with denture characterisation is second to none and we are very fortunate to have him making such beautiful lifelike creations.
