meet Dr McAloon

Janis graduated from Sydney University with 2nd Class Honours in 1975. She established this specialist practice in 1989 after 11 years in general practice and then completing her Master’s studies. Janis’ strength is her experience, knowledge and broad based diagnostic and restorative capability. She devotes considerable time reviewing new scientific findings and treatment techniques, as well as providing continuing education for other dentists. The fact that Janis is regularly asked to participate in peer educative forums is a testament to her professional standing. Janis is a past president of the Dental Aesthetics and Ceramics Society and of the Australasian Osseointegration Society, NSW.

Janis has a very close working relationship with the other prosthdontist Yvonne. This association allows them to discuss and plan patients’ treatments together. They also attend lectures, study meetings and even give lectures together, nationally and internationally. In 2001 they were the Australian Dental Association NSW Touring Lecturers. Their thinking is attuned and enables one to easily carry on from the other if the need ever arises.
