dental health

As prosthodontists, we focus especially on the causes of dental problems. These days we know that saliva has a major role in dental decay (caries) and dental erosion, both of which can bring about substantial loss of tooth structure. When overlaid by bruxism (tooth grinding and clenching), the amount of tooth structure lost from erosion becomes greatly magnified.

We hope the following pages give a good overview as to these very common problems. The information forms the foundation on which we base our caries and erosion risk assessments.
