Simply Prosthodontic is very fortunate to have a highly skilled clinical team to makes sure its patients are looked after and that everything runs smoothly.  Meet our key team members.

Hygiene

Justine Medin completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in 1999 and a Masters of Nutrition in Dietetics in 1999.  She left her career as a dietician in 2002 to become a dental hygienist and obtained her Advanced Diploma in Oral Health in Adelaide in 2005. She is a Member of the Australian Dental Association and Australian Hygienist Association.

Justine says she loves working at Simply Prosthodontic because of its constant high quality dentisty, friendly atmosphere and staff.  As the hygienist at Simply Prosthodontic she is committed to improving the oral health of her patients.  She helps them attain optimum oral health and provides advice about prevention of periodontal disease, dental decay and erosion. Her knowledge of diet and nutrition gives her deeper insight into factors which contribute to these problems.

Outside of work, Justine enjoys the mauy thai, cycling, travelling and music. In case you don't know, mauy thai is a form of kick boxing - being a keen practitioner Justine is not someone to mess around with!

Reception

Janice Holland is most often the first point of contact for phone inquiries and appointment making. She keeps the practice administration on track, and is available to answer questions about scheduling and accounts.  She started with the practice in 2002 as the accounts coordinator but stepped into the reception role after Janet Choules, our practice manager for many years sadly lost her fight against cancer.

Treatment Coordination

Liz Smith holds a Dental Certificate III (DAA) and is the treatment coordinator though she wears many hats.  Her focus and depth of knowledge regarding treatment is on making sure our patients’ dental needs are being satisfied.  She liaises with the patient and other specialists during implementation of the treatment plan so that we can deliver the finished product as quickly as possible.  Liz has been with the practice since 1995 and knows just about all the patients.

Her passion besides work is good food, wine and most recently Crossfit as a consequence.

Clinical

Clinical staff members do more than assist the doctors and make sure our patients remain comfortable during their treatment.

Emma Dohmen is our senior clinical assistant and laboratory manager. She has been with the practice since 1997, holds a Dental Assistants Certificate III (DAA) and is an integral part of our team.  She undertakes the clinical assisting, much of the ‘behind the scenes’ preparatory work, and the logistics of implant surgeries with Yvonne and Janis.  She also works along side Liz to monitor our patients’ progress after significant dental work has occurred.

Emma's personal interests include training her 3 gorgeous pugs, spending time with her family and enjoying an active outdoor lifestyle.
